The movie synopsis game

by Rusty
In this game, the challenge is to describe the plot of a movie from the two nouns or noun and verb given by one of the opponents. The plot should be described in as much detail as possible. If you are unable to describe the film, you may pass. If you successfully describe the film, you may issue the next challenge.

You really never lose, unless you describe a film that already exists, in which case you may be challenged to do it over.

so, is it a real movie, or a plot you make up? what movie were you describign in yours?

Posted: Thu Mar 05, 2009 2:13 pm
by Rusty
you make one up, in fact it's a foul if you describe a real movie, whether you've seen it or not

and I was using my first offering of submersible + true love + victim to generate the broke back nazis plot

Are there bonus points for shout-outs to the Third Reich, or was that as random as the rest of it?

by Rusty
The idea is to be random and funny, third reich shoutouts are not random but are funny.

A gripping political drama, involving the next step from the dreaded communist regime in china, whereupon all technology past a certain era is now to be done away with, all but overnight, internet, television and phone contact with the mainland is dropped. Tozai, the japanese manufacturer with roots in the mainland, having been informed of said change beforehand, suddenly seem to have tripled their profits in less than a week, selling hand made fishing poles, nets, old (and thusly acceptable) caligraphy brushes and paper types, and of course one of the only means by which one can keep track of and calculate differences mathematically, (on a certain scale) the abacus. The only movement agains this decree comes from a small base of operations for cancer research in the southern fengtau district of beijing, who were, for all intents and purposes, trying to pull through the patent papers on a breakthrough treatment for certain types of leukemia, using an extremely rarely occuring, but replicatable once found, fermentation of the Pyrus × bretschneideri, or chinese white pear. Nearly all research destroyed, scientific mastery as their weapons, they seek to undo the terrible evil of the current incarnation of communism.

Okay I didn't use the word insurrection, but the concept is there.

Barring any challenges to redo, I hereupon state the next challenge!

"Holy Tentacles!"

An animated journey into the society of invertabrates, this tale of Sucker McTentacle, is fun for the whole family while simultaneously an indictment of organized religion. Wrongfully imprisoned for questioning the way of the higher class, beautiful jelly fish rulers of Atlatiquatica, who dissapear each night towards alluring holy lights around the mainland, some of which don't make it back, and are said to have ascended into the land of righteousness, (one of the worst run on sentences of all time) Mr McTentacle argues that such logic would lead us toward what we can see of the sun, as it is the brightest light during the day. Yet, as everyone knows, the sun is the HELL for invertabrates, with tempuratures far above those that they can survive, and a single solar flare could destroy millions of Atlantiquaticans. We hope you enjoy watching this thinly veiled nuance heavy. delightful romp/debate about the importance of imposed religious beliefs.

The monks entrust the relic, an ancient candle with an eternally buring flame, to Ran seeing in him the potential to become something great. Little does Ran know that his evil cousin a sorcerous rat by the name of Valdeon Guta, has coveted the power of this relic before Ran was born.
Now the young weasel must undertake a great journey to unlock the secret of the eternal flame, which grants the ability to harness chi through osmosis, and grow into the great warrior everyone knows he can become. But, he must do this before evil can capture him, and gain the candle's power for itself.
