Rifts vs 3.5 DnD

Rifts has mega damage, which is a 1:1000 ratio to normal damage. Rifts has ridiculous monstrosities that that blow up worlds with ease, and gods of horrifying power.

DnD has... rules. Rules that let you create infinite loops, become a god as a 3rd level kobold, and become immune to existence. To name a few.

Which wins?

Dnd 3.5 wins by default. Only Rollmaster old-style trumps Rifts for its ponderous character creation . It was augmented in annoyance by having nearly-infinite worlds (and a shiny 20$ book for each) and although you were supposed to be able to cross play worlds, some characters were greatly outmatched by others. In dnd you can tweak a character to make it uber-powered or under-powered, but in rifts you were pretty much either screwed or not screwed from the begining

I think Rifts probably has this one, due to the 'organic' quality of the system. Ultimately the rules of DnD cause it to be more rigid, which is a hinderance when dealing with god-power, and reality warping.
