Cheap corsets and garb links

Post by Jennifer »

I've been spending a lot of time on eBay in the past week and have come across a few sellers that seem to have decent stuff for fairly low prices. I was asked by a few people to share, and I figured making a post would work better than privately telling each one; also, I thought maybe some other folks might want to take a look.

Note: these are all US-based peeps. I've yet to find a Hong Kong dealer for this stuff that makes the long wait (a monthish, since they can ship things for free by super-slow-snail-mail and usually do) and the uncertainty of quality worth it.

MyCloak sells full costumes along with basic pieces - if you watch, full costumes sometimes go for $50 or less, even after shipping. I'm currently waiting for this to come up to auction in my size!

Rubberpaintedlady and rubberpaintedlady2 offer cheap (under $30, including shipping) steel busk boned corsets along with other fetishwear.

What about y'all? Know of any good places to shop online?

um... no.
i generally stay away from costume vendors due to their tendency to sell you shitty quality cloth that will not last the night. That being said, the first link I checked out of yours does not seem... like a scam =D.
Other than that I consider myself useless on this topic.

I will fire a question back however..
Would a set of black scrubs (full black with no buttons or stripes) work for the base of a Team Rocket Dark Henchman outfit.

Plans: Get a large red "R" for the middle of the shirt, locate their strange golf pseudo-beret, and get a black belt that I can strap Poke'balls to.

thoughts?

I need someone to take my measurements, and help me find a place to get Jedi clothing made please. I have wanted to buy these things for a long time, and I finally have some extra cash. I recently purchased some rather expensive lightsabers, and I need the garb to go with them.
All things in moderation...Except syrup.

have you thought of visiting a tailor on the weekend to get measurements, or perhaps even having them do some of the base designs and just picking up some of the accessory items online? Might be cheaper, and higher quality (you can pick the materials that way), unless it isn't.

Angela Mullens from Foxmoon Productions (the mermaids at the Med Faire) makes Jedi robes now.
