Star Wars: LKotOR - Character Creation

Post by Avilister »

This is what it sounds like. Post some of the info from character creation. I'll edit this post with my info when I get home, but this should probably look something like this:

Player: Steven
Character: Matthew Starwheel (of the Corellian Starwheels)
Type: Jedi Sentinel
Favored Paths: Forces 4, Mind 1 (eventually Mind to 4, Space, Life, Time to 3, Fate to 2, maybe 3; XP priorities will be Space and Mind)
Favored Lightsaber Forms: Shi'Cho 3, Soresu 1, Niman 2 (eventually Shi'Cho 4, Soresu 5, Niman 3, then either Ataru or Makashi if I feel the need for even more fighting expertise)
Other relevant stuff: (insert any info you want here. Background info, aspects, anything else) Is the glowing blade in the dark (as opposed to flashing knife in the dark). Is very adept at breaking and entering, hacking, and various other illicit activities. Is naturally sneaky and a good-to-excellent combatant. Is not much of a people-person.

Player: Gideon
Character Name: Selena Halcyon (Female Human)
Type: Jedi Consular
Favored Paths: Fate, Mind or Life
Favored Forms: I and IV, possibly VII later
Other relevant info: very high occult skill with multiple specializations, good athletics, high weaponry (I'm sure we all do). [I'll edit more in later as it develops]

Player: Josh
Character: Tarrik Vale
Type: Zabrak Jedi Guardian
Favorite Paths: Forces, Life
Favorite Lightsaber Form: Will be Form VII (5 dots)[w/ dots in Forms: I (4 dots), II (2 dots), IV (5 dots), V (5 dots), and VI (1 or 2 (if I don't take quick draw)]. I plan on him being a weapon master.
Stuff: A versatile combatant, with several abilities that allow him to use his skills to diffuse a situation with as little violence as possible. When force is unavoidable his goal is to end the conflict as quickly, and painlessly as possible.
Possesses Force Talents from both Time (Perfect Timing), and Matter (Magic Shield).
Plans: Take rotes in Fate and Space (maybe just buy a dot in Space). Buy all Form VII. Raise Force (to 4) eventually. Probably buy Serenity later as well, to help combat the side effects of Form VII. I also plan on getting Two-Weapon Fighting to represent Jar'Kai training (especially since Jason most likely wont be playing, it means there is no overlap with him).

Oh, I am seriously considering not being a Jedi Knight starting out, but a padawan instead. I feel this would add an interesting dynamic to the character. It also means that I would have to undergo actual trials in the game to gain the Status of Jedi Knight. My only problem with this is the history my character has with some of the others. I'm not sure if it makes a lot of sense for him to have the 'prodigy' aspect, and have lower rank than his peers.

Player: Cheyne
Character Name: (depends on sex, haven't decided)
Type: Human/Near-Human Jedi Sentinel
Favored Paths: Time, Something Else; Force Talent: TK (not buying Forces in the future most likely)
Favored Forms: Form II (all the way to 5th dot, starting with 1), and VI (3rd dot eventually, starting at 1); Jar'kai (not sure how high, starting at 1); possibly Form I (at 2) and III (at 4) one day far in the future.
Other relevant info: very high investigation, athletics, weaponry. All mental skills at least 1 dot (I didn't take my own advice, very point inefficient). I did min/max my atts a bit, taking weapon finesse and getting high dex/resolve/composure. I'm not very personable. I took Clever Monkey species trait to supplement my Int. I have a bit of fame and allies, am rank 2, and... not sure what else really.
Plans: Buy up Presence and Strength slightly; Buy Ls Forms as fast as possible to where I want them; buy a few dots in Physical Skills and any other Skills the story thrusts my way; more social merits, perhaps 1 more dot in Clever Monkey.

Also of note, at Josh's suggestion I may open up the dual weilding Forms to where they are compatible with most of the other forms. Not sure exactly whether I want to though, I need to do more research.

Player: Angela
Character Name: Kiara'tai
Sex: Female
Type: Twi'lick jedi diplomat
Favored Paths: Focusing on Prime and Mind, maybe a bit of fate
Favored Forms: Maxing out 6 and saberstaff
Other relevant info: Focusing on social skills, occult high.

Goals Ambitions: Kiara is far more focused on gaining sway in the Senate for the Jedi at the moment. After Miranda 4, she felt her abilities would better help the Jedi in the political forum. (Also she fears she'll follow her brother's path) She is a staunch unificationist.

“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”
