The image of this in full use reminds me of that seen from minority report where people just kind of sit in cars that propel them to destinations that they Google from the screen and then punch in. A fully automated highway system that can facilitate programming to any desired location and power the car via the sun along the way....

the article about solar roadways makes me think of all the other great ideas that have been researched and then labeled "uneconomical" for the sake of currently setup company and/or interest. The video with the bullets makes me want to go watch more mythbusters.

way to go, science seems to have greated something more disgusting than anything in nature. I'm also not sure that I believe the initial statement that such a technology is "desirable." Maybe if it could also form pseudopods, then maybe it could do....something? I guess if it featured sensors or something on the outside then it could maybe like penetrate rubble or something.

I don't think mucusbot is going to go looking for sarah connor any time soon, which as you know is the benchmark for all robots.

I would rather die in my sleep from such an attack than have to live with the knowledge that it happened.

They really need tentacles on these things, they would be sooooo much cooler that way, and might actually be able to do interesting things that way.
