Abyssal Game: Background and Character info

Post by Ivanovich »

This is basically an overview of the last year or so of your life. You can put more details in your personal stories if you like, but each of you have the same general experience. Jason you will vary in that you will be taught sorcery by Shadow of Dawn's Early Light.

Please post your character's stories here and I will be posting some NPCs in here as well.

Background
In life you drew the attention of Mask of Winters. At the time of your death, sometime in RY 765, he offered you the chance to continue living, but you had to give up your name and your previous life to serve him and the Neverborn. After you experienced the Dark Exaltation a Death knight calling himself Master of the Fallen Heavens came to find you. He led you to the nearest Shadowlands and took you to meet your new Master in the Underworld Capital of Stygia. You were instructed on the Five Understandings and brought before your Neverborn master for Judgment where you were given your name.

Following your judgment are trained along with four others who are to be your Circle. Fallen Heaven teaches you the basics of combat as needed. He brings in various ghosts to teach you the other skills you are to be trained in. You are all trained as a group and live together in order to learn each others strength and weaknesses. In RY 766 you all are brought to the City of Thorns to receive your first mission from Mask of Winters.

Master of the Fallen Heavens

Appearance:
Master of the Fallen Heavens stands roughly 6 feet tall and is always wearing what appears to be a suit of super heavy armor with his helmet on. The armor is dull black and has an over lay of a human skeleton. The helmet is made of soul steel in the form of a human skull, but has no bones on it. He wears a cloak that is the color of dried blood. Fallen Heavens always wields a Grand Daiklaive though made of soul steel it is polished to a shine and the hilt is made of flesh and bone.

Personality:
Master of the Fallen Heavens is often quiet. He spends much of his time in meditation when not teaching someone combat skills. He is a master of combat and warfare. Once a person proves capable in combat Fallen Heavens will speak more often towards them. He offers little up about himself and will only speak of old battles and tactics.

The Princess in Silver Bells

Appearance:
Trapped forever in a body aged only 8 years, the Princess in Silver Bells stands less than four and a half feet tall. Her pale complexion, ice blue eyes, and stark white hair announce her Northern ancestory. Her features are fine and delicate, giving her the appearance of a life-sized porcelain doll.

She prefers clothing in dark colors to help contrast against her features. Typically these are dresses of the highest quality, though she also has a number of more regional outfits. As all of her clothing has been obtained since her Black Exaltation, many of these are embroidered with death paraphenelia (skulls and other bones, runes that mean deathy-things in Old Realm) and silver bells. She has a variety of wide-brimmed hats, many with black veils, to help protect her delicate skin from the hateful rays of the Unconquered Sun.

In her hair she wears the Silver Bells from which she draws her title. These beautiful bells number four in total. Two are wrought from the finest silver and the other two have been bruttally hammered from the souls of the dead. Descriptions of the moment in which the Neverborn realized the magnitude of Creation's betrayal are scorched around the outside of the bells. A pair of one soulsteel and one silver bell is tied into her hair with a black ribbon on each side of her head. They chime softly with her movements. Her Circlemates would know that more active tinkling from the bells may indicate the presence of a dematerialized ghost or spirit.
